She can take care of herself well
So I guess she’s doing pretty well
But there will always be times when it is dark and she is alone
And she yearns for someone else to take the task of loving her off her hands
Like how she was taken care of back then
When her dad held up the world and her mom held up her chin
But now she’s learned to care for herself
Like how she eats her vegetables and brushes her hair
And takes her pills and dresses pretty well
And now she’s making her own life
Her own doctor’s appointments and her own money
And she’s panicking in crowded spaces all by herself
She can take care of herself well
Sometimes she just needs another hand
‘Til all is well
