Morning Devotion
Read, study, pray
read study pray,
out of this
ordinary routine
a shard of truth
leaps from the page
piercing to the core,
surely I’ve read
this passage before.
These words that
never change
change everything,
fresh yet haunting,
guiding my steps
as I live the day.
