Basic Information
The phrase, “it’s complicated” certainly applies to my creative adventures and me. I am a photographer, painter and percussionist. For me, one thing flows into another. Everything is connected. My photographs depict vignettes of our wonderful bayou state, often capturing hard architectural lines or soft organic forms. The same is true for my visual art. My latest passion is alcohol inks as a medium. I create expressive landscapes, organic blooms, forms and lines that speak to me.
As a musician, I FEEL the music and using percussive instruments allows me to respond to it in a way that moves my soul. Music helps me to express feelings. Song titles or lyrics that have touched me often show up as titles in my visual art. As Uncle Cracker sings, “Give me the beat boys that frees my soul…….” It’s been the mantra for all of my creative endeavors.
