A native to Louisiana, I am no stranger to a parade and all the treasure that come with it. My inspiration comes from these treasures, these Mardi Gras beads. I use the vibrant and vast variety of Mardi Gras beads to create stunning mosaics with added depth and texture. Working on very large pieces is my preference as it is the best opportunity to incorporate many differing sizes and shapes of beads. Each of my works are a step in an ongoing growth toward my unique approach to mosaics. They are all made of beads given to me by local parade-goers, giving them the opportunity to become something beautiful, appreciated, seen.
