Artist Statement
The stories and poems that I write come from the experiences that I’ve had both in life in its many stages and from experiencing life through the lenses of other artists. I am the student of two decades of Blockbuster and Hollywood Video rentals, Drive-In movie theaters, and double feature matinees before some of these things became relics or extinct altogether. A student of young and middle aged love and heartache from cities, to countries, to the screens that keep us separate and bonded; as well as the horrors and heartache that it brings. Through fiction and prose, I hope to touch my readers in a way that assures them that wherever they are in their journey, especially if dark, it’s always a semicolon, and never a period.
