I am native to North Louisiana and have lived most all of my adult life in the North West corner of the state. My career was in law enforcement and that career can best be described as a long walk down a dark alley in a very bad neighborhood. Photography became my escape from that alley. Photography allowed me to escape briefly into a world of beauty created by the Master who allowed me to photograph it and then share it with others.
By definition I am a hobbyist photographer although I like to think of myself as an advanced hobbyist. I have no formal training in photography. I am a longtime member of the Shreveport Photographic Society and that has allowed me to hang around with some “real photographers” for years so a lot of what I have learned has been through that association. The rest of it has been self taught.
