About Artist

Basic Information

  • Artist Statement

As both an artist and an architectural historian I have long felt a calling to draw attention to the subtle beauty and harmonious intricacy of historic architecture. In more recent years I have broadened my scope to include the appreciation of the interplay of light and shadow, texture and color expressed through still life painting and the marvelous "architecture" of the human form as expressed in figure drawing. Although my subjects and techniques are diverse, my artwork shares a common theme in my effort to perceive and communicate the orderly and harmonious complexity of my subjects.
