It was hard for me to decide what field to pursue in college- I enjoyed a little bit of everything, but rarely the whole of anything. For me, art pulled a little bit of everything into a cohesive career path. I use mathematics to layout general designs; there's chemistry in the materials, whether biting a metal plate with acid to create a plate for printmaking or mixing pigment for paint; physics hides in the varying perspectives; there is subject matter in history and literature; rhythm and movement from music: all of that and more combine to make a work of art. My goal is to combine my skills to create art that reflects the vivid colors of the natural and man-made worlds that reside juxtaposed in our Louisiana landscape.

I work in acrylic, watercolor, oil, pencil, pastels, charcoal...whatever mood hits.

I've resided in Mooringsport, Many, Natchitoches and Vivian, but I call Mooringsport my homebase.

2015 – 2017 Complications with Degenerative Disc Disease and other health related stuff sidelined art for awhile. Had a lumbar spinal fusion in 2016 & hardware removal in 2017 @ The Spine Institute of Louisiana- kudos to Dr. Kerr and his staff!
