Artist Statement
I use photography as a means of self-expression. I take photos for myself, to express my perception of the world around me. I use photography to learn how natural light, shapes, textures; colors that outlines an area - a mountain side, building, or people. It is through this process I get work with or talk to people that I would not be able to on a daily basis. In creating the images, I often attempt to blur the line between reality and photography. My subject choice comes from artist that I've admired in my journey of photography but told from my point of view. I enjoy telling stories with my photos by capturing every detail of the subject from the time I arrive until I leave. I am excited to create and look forward to each time. -
