  • About me

I have had a few jobs during my life, including, a studio engineer, film/video editor and a trial consultant. As a child I was always drawn to art, photography and music. When I became disabled three years ago I wanted to take my photos beyond the scope of photography. I use photograpy, the encaustic medium, oil paint and digital art to achieve this. Many times I combine all four mediums to create a single piece. The subject of my work are mostly nature, landscape, abstraction, and portraiture. Embedded found objects are also sometimes part of my work. I usually take my initial ideas from my photographs, but also find the deterioration of objects as a source of beauty and inspiration. After I start a piece, I usually create intuitively. As cliche as it sounds, I want my art to evoke an emotion in the viewer. Whatever emotion that may be, I want the individual to feel something.
