I am an artist and writer. I am also a former lecturer of African Studies and International Development issues at Tennessee State and Dillard Universities. I have also worked with research, development, and teaching projects in South Sudan, Kenya, Burundi, and the United Kingdom.

• The Mixed Company Project, is an independently published journal written, edited, and designed by women of color based in New Orleans.
• The journal’s platform includes the production of multi-media events such as Reign, a ceremony honoring renown guest poet-activist, Sonia Sanchez, June 13, 2015 New Orleans, LA., visual art displays, and short film/documentary film production
• Exhibit Be, contributing artist of Sacred Space; Native. Homeland. Exile., a literary night from Women of Color; Mixed Messages 4, annual art exhibition of the Loving Festival.
