• About me

  Art is a joy pure and simple. Inspiring images that move us and, reflect the emotions of kindred souls or, repulse us and remind us that not everything in life is pretty. But even more importantly art reflects our times and our experiences and I guess then that art which reflects who we are now as a people is more important in the future. So in a way when we create art we are creating a history of sorts. I don't know if my art would ever become something considered historical but if it brings joy to people or gets someone to pause for moment to think about what they see, then I will consider myself a success.

  Born in Shreveport, relocated for thirty years, and found my way back. Working in oils, acrylics photography and, mixed media. My interest in art has spanned generations. My grandmother painted so I guess that is where my personal connection with art stems from. I love to grow flowers and things in my garden and love to paint those things the most. It's like I get to create them twice once when I plant them and once when I create images from them. I have traveled quite a bit and every now and then images of those travels come out like memories I need to share. I have been in a couple of shows at ArtSpace and I hope to have more opportunities to display my work publicly.
