About me
I paint because I have to. There are images that live in my mind until I paint them. The canvas represents an amazing world within itself. It's edges are blurred away & what you see is a whole and complete universe that has emerged from my imagination. The process begins when I see a certain something. My senses become quickened. I'm inspired again & the entire painting is completed in a matter of seconds. The system is always the same, but the results are always different. It's like getting into a car and driving to a different lovely place everyday. I mostly do portraits but anything can be a potential muse.Lately my work has been dedicated to teaching. Its something I said I'd never do, but I really love it. Teaching is a response to questions I get asked. Several years ago I began recording myself painting & puting videos on youtube. Many of the comments expressed the idea that they could never paint that good. We won't all reach a high level of profeiceincy but painting is something most people can do. -
