Artist Statement

Christine Duke was born in Shreveport, Louisiana but spent most of her life in Texas. An early passion for sewing, fashion and images, led her to study fashion design at Texas Women’s University before moving on to study photography at the University of Texas in Arlington. Returning to Louisiana in 2003, she spent several years as a sports photographer as she traveled with a local fencing club. Her primary areas of interest are photography, poetry and mixed media.
